This week I got to work on a logo for Secure Checkpoints, a local business in the cyber security industry. Secure Checkpoints helps businesses find cracks in their cyber security and creates solutions to fix these problems. They needed something clean and modern that would communicate what they do for their clients on a daily basis.
I experimented with several different color combinations before the final combination of bright blue, navy and black was chosen. I thought using a monochromatic color palette with the hexagon shapes really gave the contemporary feel that this logo needed. I then used three icons (a website tab, a shield and a server) to represent the different aspects of the business.
I created a custom pattern for the client to use on his business cards and any branding he may need in the future. Patterns are always nice to include with branding and can add a lot of personality when you are working with a company that has a more corporate vibe.
To create a cohesive look, I used the same colors from the logo and added some playful lock icons. I applied the pattern as his Facebook cover image to give a fun pop of color to his page.
