This week I got to work on a logo for Secure Checkpoints, a local business in the virtual security industry. Secure Checkpoints helps businesses find cracks in their cyber security and creates solutions to fix these problems. They needed something clean and modern that would communicate what they do for their clients on a daily basis.
I played with several different color combinations before this one was chosen. I thought using a monochromatic color palette with the hexagon shapes really gave the contemporary feel that this logo needed. I then used three icons (a website tab, a shield and a server) to represent the different aspects of the business. With this logo I thought it was important to represent the technology in a clear and concise image so potential clients would immediately understand what Secure Checkpoints does.
I also created a custom pattern for the client to use on his business cards and any branding he may need in the future. Patterns are always nice to include with branding and can add a lot of personality when you are working with a company that has a more corporate vibe. Again, I used the same colors from the logo and added some fun lock icons. As you can see above I installed the pattern as his Facebook cover image to give a fun pop of color to his page.
